Redevelopment of Bangor City Football Club
Morbaine and North Wales leading development company, Watkin Jones, have joined together to form a joint venture company, Deiniol Developments Limited. The company's objective is to redevelop Bangor City Football Club existing site at Deiniol Road in the heart of the city.
The company proposes to develop the site for over 300 student units and 84,000 sq.ft. of non-food retail and leisure use. Some fast-food and affordable housing is also included within the development.
Proposals include the relocation of the existing Masonic building to new premises including a banqueting suite, the relocation of a Nursery and, of course, the relocation of Bangor City Football Club to a new site within the Bangor boundary at Holyhead Road, Nantporth. The new football facility will include state-of-the-art Clubhouse and function room, along with covered seating, stands, etc. A floodlit training pitch along with facilities for Development and Youth Teams will also be availible.
