Redevelopment of Ashley Retail Park, Widnes
Morbaine
is seeking planning permission for the comprehensive redevelopment of
Ashley Retail Park to develop a single foodstore comprising 9,337 sq.m.
(gross) of floorspace excluding an atrium.
The
new development will be pedestrian friendly with easy access ramped off
Lugsdale Road leading to a pedestrian gallery and the store entrance.
Nearly 700 car parking spaces will be provided which will include
Disabled and Parent & Child spaces. Access to the sales deck will
be via lifts and travelators located in a glass topped atrium.
The
site is adjacent to the existing cycle network and a new link will be
provided within the site. A new bus layby will be created in Lugsdale
Road adjoining the pedestrian ramp and gallery. Provision has also been
made for a hopper bus to circulate within the site.
